To leave for 76th session of UNGA soon after appointment

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 22

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Nepali Congress lawmaker Narayan Khadka as the Foreign Minister in Sher Bahadur Deuba cabinet.

The Office of the President, on recommendation of Deuba government, approved Khadka's appointment pursuant to Article 76 (9) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Khadka will be administered oath of office and secrecy by President Bhandari amid an official ceremony at Sheetal Niwas, this afternoon.

Meanwhile, to-be Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka will leave for New York to participate in the United Nations General Convention soon after his appointment.

Khadka, who is leading a delegation to the 76th session of the UNGA, will leave Kathmandu for New York at around 8:30 pm, today.
