Nepal Army support to rebuild Dharahara
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army today handed over Rs 60 million to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal for the reconstruction of Dharahara.
According to the PM's Secretariat, a team led by the Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri today reached PM's Office in Singhadurbar and handed the cheque worth Rs 61,713,783.
PM Dahal on the occasion lauded the NA's gesture and informed that the government was doing its homework for the reconstruction of the historic tower.
The government has set the target of starting reconstruction of the historical Dharahara by November 2017.
Dharahara, also known as Bhimsen Tower, had collapsed during the devastating earthquake on April 25, 2015.
