KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 6

Nepal Bank Limited has contributed Rs 20 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund on Sunday.

A delegation including Chairman of the Nepal Bank Board of Directors, Dr. Chandra Bahadur Adhikari, presented the cheque to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.

The bank provided the assistance to support those affected by floods, landslides, and inundation.

During the handover, Prime Minister Oli expressed gratitude to the bank and urged investors and industries to provide loans responsibly, emphasizing the need to strictly avoid bad loans. He also called for adherence to systems and laws, ensuring impartiality and fairness.

Last Friday, a cheque for Rs 34 million was handed over by various financial institutions to the fund.

In a meeting last Monday, the Council of Ministers decided to make an initial deposit of one billion rupees into the fund, which continues to receive contributions from organizations and individuals.
