The Nepal Chamber of Commerce in Macau distributed relief materials worth around Rs four lakhs to Ashram and schools in Dakshinkali Municipality.

The relief package that included essential items such as glassware, spoons, bowls, and plates being provided to meet the daily needs of the Khokna Arogya Ashram in Tauthali, while 300 school bags were provided to the students of Khokna Jan Madhyamik Vidyalay in Tauthaliand Balsudhar Basic School in Bansbari.

The event was attended by Sudarshan Thapa Magar, President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce in Macau, along with former minister Rajendra Kumar K.C., Minister for Tourism, Industry, and Co-operatives of Bagmati Province, Pukar Maharjan, Mayor of Dakshinkali Municipality, Mohan Basnet, and Deputy Mayor Basanti Tamang Dangol as chief guests.

The relief materials distributed were procured through the proceeds of the "Nepali Cultural Night in Macau" charity show held on February 4, 2024 by the organization. The event, attended by dignitaries such as Uday Bahadur Rana Magar from the Consulate General of Nepal for Hong Kong and Macao, showcased performances by renowned artists from Nepal alongside local talents.

Sudarshan Thapa Magar expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event, highlighting the support received from the local community in Macau as well as Nepalese residents and individuals from Hong Kong. He emphasized the significance of the program in providing assistance not only to the disabled, orphaned children, and senior citizens but also in fostering a sense of solidarity and support within the community.
