Nepal condemns terror attacks in Sri Lanka; PM, Foreign Minister extend condolences

KATHMANDU: Nepal government has condemned the series of heinous terror attacks that shook Sri Lanka, and utimately rest of the world, today.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli expressed his sadness over the incident, scores of people have lost their lives in which, and extended condolences to the people of Sri Lanka through a tweet following the attacks.

Likewise, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Gyawali, expressed condolences to the families of the victims while expressing shock over the reports of blasts in the island nation.

"Nepal unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms," Minister Gyawali had tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Prime Minister has released a letter addressed to the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka in which PM Oli has extended heartfelt condolences to the people of Sri Lanka on behalf of the government and people of Nepal.

According to incoming reports, an eighth blast followed the series of blasts that killed over 140 people. Sadly, the death toll is rising as the day passes.
