Nepal-India meet on check posts

Kathmandu, July 21:

A delegation from the Home Ministry of India today met Nepali officials of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Works (MPPW) and dwelled on integrated check posts being constructed along different posts of Nepal-India border.

An official at the MPPW said the meeting concluded successfully. “Acting secretary of the MPPW, Purna Kadariya, as well as joint-secretary of Finance Ministry Kamal Raj Pandey represented Nepal,” said Iswari Paudyal, the spokesperson for the MPPW. Secretary of the Home Ministry of India UN Panjiyar led the eight-member Indian delegation, which included joint secretary of the Home Ministry, special secretary of Bihar government and representatives from Central Excise and Customs Board, as well as from the Finance Ministry.
