Nepal Police’s hotline for trafficking victims
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Police’s Metropolitan Crime Division, Teku has launched a hotline phone service in a bid to ease rescue operation of trafficking victims.
Operated in collaboration with Nepal Telecom, the hotline number 1177, is expected to facilitate investigation of trafficking cases as well, according to the Metropolitan Crime Division, Teku.
The division’s Superintendent of Police Sahakul Thapa said that this toll-free phone service has the objective of rescuing victims, both at home and abroad, and to take action those involved in this crime.
