Nepal Press Union unlocks FNJ office

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Press Union has opened the padlock it had put at the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) central office.

The protest ended after the NPU and the FNJ reached a two-point agreement today.

The Union had padlocked the FNJ central office on February 13, alleging the FNJ leadership of unilateralism in the distribution of new membership.

The agreement sealed today, however, states that the FNJ would issue a press release today itself addressing the issues raised by the Union while the Union shall immediately open the padlock at the FNJ central office.
