NPRSLP merges with UML

Kathmandu, September 11

Nepal Purba Rastra Sewak Loktantrik Party has merged with the CPN-UML at a programme in the UML’s central office, Dhumbarahi today.

On the occasion, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said the UML was aspiring to garner two-third majority for the nation’s prosperity. “The country should be taken on the path of prosperity without any delay,” Oli said.

During the programme, Oli said that Nepal should work for its own interests by keeping friendly and equal relations with both the neighbouring countries.

Saying that new relations should be established with neighbouring countries by changing the old mentality and behaviour, Oli urged the neighbour India not to inundate Nepali land and shift the border pillars.

Likewise, UML Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam said the entire party joining the UML would help in strengthening national unity at a time when the imperialists and capitalists were attacking the UML.

Chairman of Nepal Purba Rastra Sewak Loktantrik Party Chudadev Singh Lama, Basantaraj Kunwar and Dharanidhar Khatiwada, among others, joined the UML.
