Kathmandu: A series of programmes were organised in the Valley to mark the advent of Nepal Sambat 1127. The Kantipur Yuba Club organised a colourful candle walk on Saturday evening to mark the occasion. Clad in traditional dresses, people marched in the core city to commemorate the event. A Newar feast was organised at Thabahi in Kirtipur in the evening. People from different walks of life attended the feast. An audio album Chyalame, composed by Subarna Shakya, was released at Om Bahal. The Olympus Club and the Shakya Foundation also organised a tea party on the occasion of the Nepal Sambat 1127 in the same area.
