KATHMANDU, MAY 8
The Government of Nepal has reiterated its firm stance against terrorism, stating that the country stands in solidarity with the international community in the fight against all forms of terrorism.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) emphasized that Nepal will not allow any inimical forces to use its territory against neighboring countries, in line with its principled foreign policy position.
"Nepal had immediately and unequivocally condemned the barbaric terrorist attack, consistent with its resolute stance against all forms of terrorism," the statement read.
The Ministry also expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, following the recent terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, India, on April 22, which also claimed the life of a Nepali national.
The statement underscored Nepal's hope for the de-escalation of tensions and reaffirmed its commitment to lasting peace and stability in the region.
