Nepali Christians mourn Pope’s death

Kathamndu, April 4:
Nepali Christians mourned the death of the Pope John Paul II, who died on Saturday night at the age of 84, by organising prayers in different churches.
Phanindra Bhushal of Sagarmatha Church at Pulchowk said Nepali Christians have been praying that the Pope’s soul rests in peace.
“We thank him for the path he showed to us and also God for the Pope is now going back to Him,” he said. According to him, Christians believe that they will see the Pope even after his death. Issuing a release, general secretary of Nepal Rastriya Mandali Parishad said, “The Pope will be remembered for his efforts to project the Good News as a living truth, the evidence he showed for social norms and values, his commitment for religious unity and religious harmony and his thought on peace, justice, human rights, democracy, civil respect and cooperation.”
