Nepali Congress to amend its parliamentary party statute

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress parliamentary party is holding discussions to amend its statute.

At the meeting of the NC parliamentary party held today, leader Minendra Rijal proposed an amendment to the statute. Leaders are currently expressing their views on the proposal.

The NC parliamentary party is expected to endorse the proposal later today. The statute is being reformed as per the new structure of the parliamentary party under the federal system, said NC leader Bhimsen Das Pradhan.

The election for the parliamentary party leader will be held as per the new statute. The meeting is being held under the chairmanship of NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
