KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed Krishna Prasad Paudel as the chief secretary of the party's central office on Monday.

According to a statement by the Nepali Congress, Deuba accepted Rishikesh Tiwari's resigntion from the post and appointed Paudel as his successor.

Paudel was affiliated with the Nepal Teachers Union and Nepal Trade Union Congress.
