NC CWC meet put off
KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Central Working Committee of Nepali Congress (NC) summoned for today has been put off. The party has cited a special reason behind the postponement of meeting that was called for 8:30 am.
The meeting has been rescheduled for 2:00 pm on May 4, said NC central office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.
NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba was expected to nominate party office bearers in today's meeting. It is believed that the meeting was adjourned by few days due to dissatisfaction of the party factions close to senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and former party general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula.
Both factions earlier announced to boycott the meeting, accusing the party leadership of calling the meeting without discussions.
The NC is yet to nominate party office bearers although two years have already elapsed since the completion of the party general convention. As per the party statute, it should have been done within two months after the general convention.
