KATHMANDU: Election for the post of Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party (PP) leader has begun at the PP Office in Singha Durbar on Wednesday.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel are in the fray for the post of PP leader.

Both, Deuba and Paudel, had filed their nominations for the election of PP leader yesterday.

Prakash Man Singh had proposed Paudel for the post and newly elected General Secretary Shashank Koirala had seconded the proposal.

Paudel was defeated by Deuba in the party presidential election held during the 13th National General Convention in early March.
