KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said it is still probing allegations of human trafficking against Nepal’s ambassador to Australia Lucky Sherpa and her husband.
Talking to The Himalayan Times on Wednesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali said the investigation process was under way, and that they would soon reach a conclusion. The ministry has formed a three-member committee to probe the allegations.
Ambassador Sherpa’s former driver Wongchhu Sherpa has accused the ambassador and her husband of human trafficking, saying he had collected money for them from some people promising them safe passage to Australia.
