KATHMANDU: A Nepali national was awarded one of the ICT Excellence Awards 2016 at the Tech Summit 2014 jointly organised by CTO Forum Bangladesh and the InfoComm India.

Pramod Kumar Parmar received the award at the Tech Summit held in Dhaka of Bangladesh on March 11-12.

Along with Parmar, an ICT practitioner from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan each also got the award.

Parmar has presented a number of research papers at various seminars and conferences on themes of mobile money and mobile banking since 2009.

He is currently associated with the Nepal Telecom as the Backbone Transmission Director.
