12 Maoist cadres held as Chand-led group imposes bandh

KATHMANDU: At least 12 bandh enforcers have been arrested from various parts of the Kathmandu Valley.

The cadres of CPN (Maoist), were arrested from Ratnapark, Sorhakhutte and Babarmahal areas.

The Capital, meanwhile, witnessed a partial impact of the Capital-centred shutdown imposed today at the call of the CPN (Maoist) led by Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplab' against the recent hike in petroleum prices.

Private vehicles are seen plying the roads since early this morning while few public vehicles are in operation.
