New building built at quake-hit Nayapati school
KATHMANDU: The Rotary Club of Rajdhani recently constructed a two-room building at the Janaki Lower Secondary School in Nayapati on the northern outskirts of Kathmandu.
The school's classrooms were destroyed in the massive earthquake on April 25 last year.
According to Guna Raj Pyakurel, Director at the Volunteer Ministers Nepal chapter, the Club, with the help of King Georgian Alumni Association, constructed the two-room building with a total investment of Rs 143,000.
The Club's founder chairman Rajendra Bahadur Shrestha and current chairman Devendra Lal Shrestha handed over the building to the school principal, Geeta Khanal amidst a function on Saturday.
The organsiation also donated three computers to the school and some relief items to the local earthquake victims in Nayapati.
