KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday inaugurated the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre at the Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering (TU IoE) in Pulchok of Lalitpur.

The Centre, under the management of the TU IoE, aims to enhance the ICT possibilities in the country and focuses on increasing productivity and income possibilities.

It has been built with the grant assistance of USD five million from the Republic of Korea through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

Minister for Education Dhaniram Paudel and Korean Ambassador to Nepal Yong-Jin Choe among other dignitaries from Korea and Nepal were also present in the inaugural programme.
