KATHMANDU: Some unidentified persons hurled stones at a new passenger bus belonging to the Mahanagar Transport Private Limited, on Monday.

The company had launched its services with 39 luxurious hi-tech buses only on Sunday.

According to police, one of the very new buses - Ba 4 Kha - 106 was attacked in Balkhu of Kathmandu while it was carrying its passengers.

While the stone broke some window glasses, no one was hurt.

Motive behind the attack was yet to be ascertained. However, transporters suspected that some transport entrepreneurs who were against route permits to new vehicles had planned the attack.

Police said they are looking into the case.
