KATHMANDU: Newly elected Speaker of the Parliament Onsari Gharti Magar will take the oath of office and secrecy on Sunday.

Parliament Secretariat's Assistant Spokesperson Sudarshan Kuinkel said President Ram Baran Yadav will administer the oath to Gharti at a special function at the President's Office tomorrow.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, Gharti will assume her office at the Parliament Secretariat at 4:30 pm tomorrow.

Likewise, Deputy Speaker Ganga Prasad Yadav will take oath from Speaker Gharti on Monday.

He will assume his office on the same day.

The Parliament on Friday had elected Gharti and Yadav to the posts unanimously.
