KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission said its serious attention was drawn to the new order of precedence issued by the government.

A press note issued by NHRC said that an emergency meeting was held on Friday to discuss the provisions of ranking order.

“NHRC will formally react to the new protocol list upon receiving official notification from the government in this regard,” the press note stated.

As per the new protocol list, vice-chairperson of the National Planning Commission ranks higher than apex court justice and chiefs of constitutional bodies (NHRC, Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority etc).
