KATHMANDU: As many as 9 persons were arrested on the charge of illegal gambling from a house in Kalanki in KMC-14 on Thursday.

Police raided the house of Nanu Shah at Lampati yesterday and arrested her brother Kaju Shah (55) and local Ravi Rana (67) with seven others red-handed.

Police also seized Rs 30,925 cash and three decks of cards from the gambling site.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
