Kathmandu: Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh today honoured The Himalayan Times with certificate and token of love to recognise its excellent news coverage on health related issues. The NNJS had honoured media houses and mediapersons for contributing through reporting to the coverage of eye related health hazards and cures amid a function organised in the capital. Among the honoured media houses are The Himalayan Times and Capital FM. Similarly, the honoured media personnel are Saroj Dhungel of Gorkhapatra, Bhagwati Timilsina of Nepal Samacharpatra, Sharada Thapa of ABC Television and Pushpa Aryal of Key Advertising Service. Tirtha Prasad Mishra, chairman of NNJS, honoured the media houses and journalists on behalf of the organisation. He  said, “The media has played vital role in motivating eye doctors to treat eye related health hazards from Kathmandu Valley to the remote districts of Nepal.
