No alternative to current govt immediately, urges Bijukchhe

KATHMANDU: Nepal Workers and Peasants Party Chairman Narayan Man Bijukchhe said no alternative to the incumbent KP Sharma Oli-led government should be sought immediately.

"If you change the government now," the leader warned, "Instability rises in the nation and the crisis worsens."

"With talks to topple the government now, one should not weaken the government and help foreign forces," the veteran leader said while inaugurating an educational function in his home town, Bhaktapur, on Wednesday.

Bijukchhe was of the view that allies should, however, discuss weaknesses of the government and help it correct the errors.

Meanwhile, he accused some "leaders of big parties included in the government" of plotting to topple the government. Bijukchhe, however, did not exactly say whom he was referring to.
