The death of Nepalis in foreign countries due to COVIID-19 has come down to zero in the past six weeks, said Non-Resident Nepali Association today. The number of Nepalis diagnosed with COVID in foreign countries has also gone down significantly in recent days.

The coronavirus death toll of Nepalis living in 21 countries stands at 341.

A press release issued by the NRNA from London said that a total of 63,307 Nepalis had been infected with the respiratory disease in 53 foreign countries till date. Of them, 62,237 have already recovered from the disease.

A clinically recovered COVID-19 patient should test negative for the virus twice in a gap of at least 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the NRNA has appealed to all Nepalis to take the COVID-19 vaccine shot in the concerned countries where they are living, besides following health safety guidelines to prevent the infection from spreading.
