No democracy in NC: Singh
KATHMANDU: Vice president of Nepali Congress Prakash Man Singh Friday said that his party has been suffering from a lack of democratic views. Though he did not clarify further, his expression seemed to indicate his reservation on the controversial promotion of Sujata Koirala as per the directive of NC president Girija Prasad Koirala (GPK).
Speaking in a programme organised by Bishwa Bhasa Campus on the occasion of Dipawali in Exhibition Road in the capital, Singh accused the senior Koirala (GPK) of repeating such undemocratic acts time and again. He expressed his dissatisfaction that no discussions were held about it in the NC's central committee and the parliamentary party. He cautioned that the NC may find itself in trouble if it follows the directives of a particular person rather than the consensus of its members.
