Minister for Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Dol Prasad Aryal, clarified that work permits are not being issued to individuals going to Russia.

Speaking at a program titled "Kathmandu ko Aakhama Karnali" (Karnali in the eyes of Kathmandu) organized by the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Minister Aryal, who is also the Vice-chair of the Party, mentioned that individual work permits for Russia have now been discontinued.

He shared that the Ministry is currently reviewing the decisions made during the previous minister's tenure regarding the approval of demands from foreign employment entrepreneurs to recruit workers for Russia.

The Labour Minister explained that his ministry would be responsible for rescuing Nepalis in case citizens have gone abroad for employment after acquiring a work permit. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry would coordinate in cases where citizens go abroad for employment without obtaining a work permit.

Similarly, Vice-Chairperson of RSP and lawmaker, Dr. Swarnim Wagle, stated that the party would focus on the country's prosperity alongside building its political organization.

Underscoring the immense potential in Karnali, he noted its lag in development and emphasized the need for policy reforms to foster prosperity alongside organizational development.

During the event, various experts expressed their views on party strengthening and issues concerning Karnali.
