No politics in Pashupati: Koirala

Kathmandu January 24:

President of the main opposition Nepali Congress, Girija Prasad Koirala today said the Pashupatinath temple should be managed through an independent trust of concerned

experts.

According to NC chief whip Laxman Prasad Ghimire, Koirala after receiving a memorandum from the Bhandaris of the temple, said that there should not be any political intervention in Pashupatinath as it is the centre of belief of all Hindus across the world, The Bhandaris, in the memorandum, have demanded formation of a trust to perform pooja in the temple.

They also urged the government and political parties not to intervene in the temple’s affairs.
