No wall painting in this Nepali Congress convention
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress, which would hold the national general convention next week, has decided not to wall-paint and paste posters reasoning that doing so at the public places would pollute the city.
“It will be an eyesore, a pollution to have publicity in the traditional style of posters and wall painting,” said a Central Working Committee member. However, the party will adopt electronic publicity.
Party's Publicity Department chief, Minendra Rijal, said the social media especially Facebook and Twitter will be used maximum. Even a website dedicated to the general convention would be developed soon which would disseminate the information on the event.
He, however, added that flex and notice boards on the convention would be installed at main intersections of the city. Radio, television and online media would be invited for the live broadcast of the inaugural and the major moments of the closed session, and the declaration assembly.
The mega event is being held from 3 to 6 March.
