Non-Violence Day observed
Kathmandu, October 2:
A peace rally was organised in the capital today to mark the International Day of Non-Violence on the initiation of the Peace for Nepal, an NGO.
The rally that began from Rastrapati Bhawan went to the residence of the Chief Justice and submitted a memorandum. “We demanded the CJ to help deliver justice promptly,” said Dr Sushil Koirala, president of Peace for Nepal. The rally also went to the PM’s residence and submitted a memorandum, calling on the government to hold talks with the armed groups.
We also met the CA chairman and urged him to speed up the statute-making process, Dr Koirala said.
