KATHMANDU: Notorious gangster Dawa Lama was shot by an unidentified group at Divya Party Palace in Nayabasti area in KMC-6 on Tuesday, police said.

Three bullets were fired at Lama at around 9:20 am, according to an official at the Bauddha-based Metropolitan Police Circle.

With critical injuries on back and legs , Lama has been rushed to the Nepal Medical College in  Jorpati for treatment, police said.

It is yet to be known who are behind the gun attack.
