KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs Shakti Bahadur Basnet on Wednesday praised the joint security operation drill of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force under way at National Police Academy, Maharajgunj.

Inspecting the drill, he said, “I am confident that the joint security drill of Nepal Police and APF will encourage and motive them to work together.” It is the first time the two security agencies are conducting a drill of this kind.

The drill includes riot control techniques, risk mitigation and compliance with human rights.

Home Secretary Narayan Gopal Malego, IGP Upendra Kant Aryal, acting chief of APF Furja Kumar Rai and other security officials were also present on the occasion.
