KATHMANDU: Commission for the Investigation of the Abuse of Authority (CIAA) today said it had deployed a team to investigate into the alleged embezzlement of Rs 4 million in the Biratnagar branch of Nepal Telecom (NT).

CIAA officer Hem Raj Rai and police inspector Badri Shrestha have been deployed to investigate into the irregularities.

NT cashier Pradip Nakarmi, along with other officials, allegedly embezzled the amount.

The team began its works today. Nakarmi is said to have misappropriated the amount making fake bank vouchers.
