Kathmandu, May 13:

Employees of NTV today asked the government not to appoint anyone who supported the Royal regime as the general manager of the state-owned TV station.

They asked the government to give the responsibility of the NTV to a qualified and honest person from within the institution, according to a press statement issued by the NTV Employees’ Joint Struggle Committee. NTV sources said the employees urged the PM and the Ministry of Information and Communications not to re-appoint the deputy-general manager, Tapa Nath Shukla.
