OCE plans to put SLC marksheets on the web

Bhaktapur, September 3:

Harka Bahadur Shrestha, the examination controller, said the OCE was archiving the SLC marksheets in digital format so that anyone having problems with their old marksheets could immediately get them from the board.

Gopal Bhattarai, deputy controller at OEC, said, “We have already archived 160,000 pages.”

According to Bhattarai, the records from 1933 to 1974 were entered into the computer last year. They plan to complete the entry of data till 1993 by the year this year.

The government has provided approximately Rs 2.7 million for this project so far. “If we get enough budget, we will complete the task by next year,” said the deputy controller. The OCE is also planning to make the marks available on the world wide web. “We are trying to find out safety measures to prevent hacking of marksheets before making them available on the Internet,” Shrestha said.
