KATHMANDU, JANUARY 31

Bagmati Province Committee of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP)'s faction led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has scheduled a massive assembly at Narayanhiti road on February 5.

The committee has chosen the area at southern gate of Narayanhiti Museum to avoid traffic congestion.

Committee Secretary Khem Prasad Lohani said that NCP cadres and supporters from all 13 districts of Bagmati Province would attend the assembly. The event is aimed at informing people about the new political scenario, he added.

The programme to be addressed by Prime Minister and chair of one of the NCP factions, KP Sharma Oli, along with other leaders would be held under the slogan 'fresh people's mandate for political stability through prosperity', while the party's sister organizations are also expected to be present at the event with their banners.

The event will also include cultural programmes depicting national unity along with musical rallies which will emerge from places including Maitighar Mandal, Tripureshwor, Jamal, Putalisadak, and Ghantaghar.

Similarly, rallies would be led by central members of the district general convention coordination committee, district chair, and secretary. Another rally of 10,000 motorcycles would be held two days before the major event.
