Prez's call to form govt

KATHMANDU: A day after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's resignation, President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Tuesday called on all the parties in the Constituent Assembly to from a new government by Saturday. The President made the call in accordance with Article 38 (1) of the interim constitution. The President also approved the resignation tendered by PM Dahal, a statement issued by the president's office said.

Handyman killed

TANAHUN: A person was killed in a road mishap at Thulopakha of Raipur village development committee in Tanahun district on Monday night. Truck helper Santosh Thapa, a resident of Chisapani-6, was killed when a mini truck heading to Chisapani from Dulegauda met with the accident, police said, adding, the vehicle fell five meters below the road.

Mishap injures dozen

DHADING: A dozen passengers were injured when a bus met with an accident at Bagaicha of Muralibhanjyang-2 in Dhading district on Tuesday. The bus was heading to Kathmandu from Arughat. Lal Bahadur Ghale, a resident of Gorkha district, was critically injured in the accident and has been taken to Kathmandu for further treatment, the police said, adding that the others injured were undergoing treatment in Dhading District Hospital.
