One arrested with illegal pharmaceutical drugs

KATHMANDU: Police on Monday arrested a person for possessing illegal pharmaceutical drugs from Bhimsengola in Kathmandu.

The arrestee has been identified as Krishna Sharan Khadka (35) of Purano Baneshwor.

A team of police deployed from Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Koteshwor, arrested Khadka from Bhimsengola in possession of seven ampoules of each diazepam, buprenorphine  and phenergan yesterday, said police.

Likewise, a team from the NCB also apprehended Sabir Saikh, a resident of Sakhuwa Dhamaura -9 in Rautahat district, from his current residence in Soalteemod, KMC-13, for possessing 60 tablets of nitrazepam, on Monday.

Meanwhile, the investigations into the cases are underway, said police.
