One held for swindling man with lucrative job promise
KATHMANDU: A 45-year-old person has been nabbed on charge of promising a man of a lucrative job in Russia, from Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Krishna Prasad Limbu from Rajarani-3 of Dhankuta district was nabbed from Baneshwor yesterday.
Police said he had swindled one Dhan Bahadur Limbu from Rajarani-3 of Rs 630,000 promising that he would send him to Russia for a job with a handsome salary.
After he failed to deliver the promise, Dhan Bahadur had filed a case against Krishna Prasad with the Metropolitan Police Crime Division.
Police said preliminary investigations suggested that Krishna Prasad had not obtained any licence to send workers abroad.
Police also recovered passports of 14 persons from his possession.
The suspect has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, for further investigation and action, according to police.
