One held for hacking websites

KATHMANDU: Sleuths deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) on Sunday arrested a man on charge of hacking websites of government and non-government ogranistaions.

The suspect has been identified as Bikas Paudel (18) of Bandipur, Tanahun district and currently residing at Balaju of Nagarjun Municipality.

The MPCD said that Paudel had hacked the websites of government and non-government organisations by using the name of "Anonymous # Opnep".

Police said that he was detained from Sorakhutte Area, KMC-16.

Paudel had hacked the websites of National Tuberculosis Centre (NTC), Nepal Telecom and Nepal Milk Development Corporation among others, the MPCD said.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
