KATHMANDU: Police arrested a man with possession of a pistol and three rounds of bullets on Wednesday.

The suspect has been identified as Bibek Gurung (27) of Malingtar, Lamjung and currently residing at Ganeshbasti of Maharajgunj, KMC-4.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj raided his room and confiscated the pistol and bullets.

Police said that they also confiscated Rs 261,000 in cash and 25 pieces each of Dizepam, Phenargone and Nurphine from his possession.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
