KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a person with a cache of contraband at Nagdhunga on Tuesday.

The arrested has been identified as a 27-year-old Sanjaya Saha of Samawa-2 in Parsa district.

The suspect was travelling on the bus (Ba 3 Kha 9808) en route to Kathmandu from Birjung when police intercepted the bus and carried out security checks at Nagdhunga Check Post in Chandragiri Municipality-2.

Police recovered 300 ampoules of Phenergan, Nurofen and Diazepam from Sah.

The bus and its driver have also been taken under control for further investigation, informed police.
