KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Police Crime Division on Thursday held a man for allegedly possessing and peddling narcotic drug in the capital.

The detainee has been identified as Santosh Gupta, 20,  of Nepalgunj-6, Banke. A special team of the MPCD had arrested him with 7.8 grams of heroin from a Sundhara-based hotel. Officials said he was preparing to sell the drug to his regular clients.

Gupta has been handed over to the Metropolitan Police Range, Teku, for further investigation.
