One killed in accident

KATHMANDU: A helper of a water tank truck was killed after the truck hit a motorcycle and turned turtle at Chobhar of Kirtipur Municipality on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Sandesh Giri, 17, of Sindhupalchowk district. The bike rider, Ajit Maharjan, 22, of Taudaha, who was injured in the truck-hit, is undergoing treatment at Sanepa-based Star Hospital.

The truck driver fled the scene following the accident. Police said they were searching for him.
