Order to oust VP Jha sought
KATHMANDU: A writ petition was filed today at the Supreme Court seeking its quo warranto order to oust Vice President Parmananda Jha.
Stating that Jha had been holding office without taking fresh oath in Nepali, as directed by the SC on Friday, the petitioners sought its intervention to oust him from the post.
“Since he has been holding the post unconstitutionally, the apex court intervention to oust him is required,” the petition reads.
Kathmandu locals Nava Raj Neupane and Bishnu Prasad Banstola jointly filed the petition.
They said Jha had no authority to hold the post as he had breached the constitution and had flouted the apex court verdict.
