More than 900 people have benefited from a free health camp organised here in Swayambhu from July 16.
Foundation for Moral Enlightenment - Derguan Charity Foundation, Taiwan has conducted a two-week-long free health camp in association with Tsum Nubri Rural Municipality, Gorkha.
According to Nima Lama, Chairman at Tsum Nubri Rural Municipality, the health camp, which received locals from Gorkha, Manang, Sindhupalchowk, Taplejung and Dhading as well as other mountain districts, was conducted with close collaboration with Nubri Samaj Community, Tsum Welfare Committee and Nubri Committee. The doctors from Taiwan offered general ayurvedic treatment to the service seekers.
Dr Lian-Hsien Dhou and Ying-Chi Lin from Foundation for Moral Enlightenment, Taiwan provided free health services to locals of different districts, according to Lama. "Their commitment and diligence to the well-being of the needy has made a significant impact, offering a lifeline to those who often face barriers in accessing healthcare service,"
Lama said, adding, " The generosity and compassion displayed by them have brought forth a ray of hope and healing to the hearts of the community."
