PADT bid to promote tourism
KATHMANDU: With a view to promoting religious and internal tourism, a team of 40 persons from the Pashupati Area Development Trust left for Muktinath in Mustang district on Wednesday. The seven-day event is being organised as an awareness campaign for Nepal Tourism Year-2011.
According to the PADT, of the 40 participants, 27 are PADT employees, while 13 are local people.
The PADT has allocated around Rs 100,000 for the motorcycle rally, which will go through Pokhara, Baglung and reach Muktinath, a religious shrine on the northern part of the Western Development Region.
